Michael Carter PhD

Strategic advisor, Independent Director, and Learning & Technology Futurist. Michael is an advisor to founders, funds, and institutions shaping the future of learning. For more than four decades, Michael Carter has helped organizations translate emerging technologies into meaningful learning experiences, spanning early academic computing, Apple’s education research initiatives, digital media & learning movements, and today’s AI-driven and game-based ecosystems. He guides founders and leadership teams through innovation, growth, and strategic uncertainty, bridging research, design, and product strategy across education, media, and technology.

He has mentored global edtech ventures and social-impact initiatives operating across six continents. Leilani Tian

Leilani holds an M.S. in Learning, Design & Technology from the Stanford Graduate School of Education and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

She is a seasoned learning experience designer and L&D specialist who builds accessible, inclusive, and practical learning across education, sustainability, technology, and social impact. She helps organizations translate complex ideas into experiences people actually learn from, spanning eLearning, curriculum design, facilitation, onboarding resources, professional development, and LMS-based course delivery.

Her work sits at the intersection of learning science, human-centered design, technology, and program evaluation. She has designed online courses and training modules across Coursera, Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard, and Articulate 360, and has worked with Stanford, Ease Learning, and early-stage education ventures. Nancy Fulton

Nancy is a Veteran Entrepreneur in Technology-Enabled Learning and an AI Product Developer. She has spent 30 years using technology to build education and training materials that accelerate skill adoption. Across three decades of entrepreneurship, she has watched learning tools evolve from CD-ROMs to cloud platforms to AI, and has built for each wave.

She is also the parent of three Gen Z kids, which gives the question a sharper edge. Nancy follows closely how educational institutions are responding to a technological shift that seems certain to define the world her children will live, learn, and work in, and whether those systems are moving fast enough.
